Let’s talk a little bit about free to play.  F2P games.  Videogames, that cost you nothing, to play, like all of it.  There’s a lot of them.

Let’s list some.   The list will include games I currently play or used to play a bit.

• League of Legends – Everyone knows this one.  Mobas actually have some of  the harshest pay models in F2P games.  But they are still free.
• Heroes Of The Storm – Same as above.  You paying up if you want heroes quicker, but you’re still getting a game, that is free.
• Smite and Strife are both free Mobas also.
• Warframe – Never really sure how to classify this game.  It’s a F2P third person ninja space shooter rpg, or something.  It’s awesome though, and it’s free.
• Path of Exile – Crazy generous F2P Dungeon Crawler (Diablolike) game.  Crazy stash space, not content locked or anything.
• Marvel Heroes – They’ll get you with the stash space, if you have money to spend anyway.  Unlike other Dungeon Crawler Loot games (Diablo)  this one has like 50+ classes.  You can unlock every hero with findable currency, so it’s pretty fair.  But yeah, limited stash space for sure.
• MMOs, like, all of them.
• Skyforge – New and Free.  Fair and free.  Actiony combat, not as action crazy as Tera.
• Tera – Also free.  Very fair and free also.  Limited character creation slots.
• Star Wars The Old Republic – A slap in the face free.  I wouldn’t play this one without spending the bucks for the premium.
• Oh hearthstone is free too.
• Other stuff I’m sure that I’m forgetting.

That’s a lot of Free.  And a lot of those games will provide tons of hours of content to enjoy and fun to be had.

He’s the part a lot of you people don’t seem to understand.  These games should make you want to spend money.  Period.  If you don’t, they don’t exist.  These games have costs associated with them, they are designed to get you to pay some money.  This is not a bad thing.  This is normal.

Some games make it scummy.  Like Swtor.  Where you feel like oh F2P part is really limited.

Most games don’t though.  Most games let you fucking go to town.  But you still flip out like you’re not supposed to spend money.  You absolutely are supposed to spend money.

TLDR:  F2P games are designed to get you to spend money.  Don’t be mad about it, it’s legit how they work.  If you don’t like it, play something you have to pay for up front.  Guild Wars 2, play GW2. That game is amazing.  Buy the binding of isaac rebirth, roguelikes yo.  Do something else that costs money instead.
